Hebe Chocolate Box Strawberry Truffle's foliage is at its darkest during the cooler months. You will have deep purple/brown leaves in late autumn, through winter into early spring. During summer, the foliage changes to shades of green.
Whilst CHOCOLATE BOX™ Hebe Strawberry Truffle 'IB605-8' can be tolerant part shade, it is best grown in all-day sun to maximise its growth and flowering potential.
For the best results, fertilise your CHOCOLATE BOX™ Hebe Strawberry Truffle 'IB605-8' in late autumn and again in spring with a slow-release all-purpose fertiliser.
The best time to prune is in January – February before the plants flower in April - May.
Hebe Chocolate Box Strawberry Truffle is drought-tolerant once established. However, we would recommend good, consistent watering in the first 12-18 months of their establishment. When watering, water at the base of the plant is used for the best results, as this will assist the water in penetrating the soil and hydrating the roots.
They will flower in spring and autumn, with spot flowering in summer.
