If a Hellebore is not flowering well, a common issue is that it could be planted in dense shade. In lower light or heavily shaded areas, they will still produce foliage and a flower here or there. But they won't be prolific. They are best grown in an area with sunlight for most of the day but shade in the late afternoon. Another reason they might not be flowering well is if they lack nutrition. Hellebores are best fertilised in the autumn to promote flowers and spring for general growth. The final reason for the lack of flowers is if they are grown in sandy loam soil, as they prefer humus-rich soil, or they can be grown in containers with a premium quality potting mix.
