Plant Profile

Loropetalum ‘Plum Gorgeous’ is a stand out selection bred in Victoria Australia by leading plant breeders PGA Innovabred.

Deep plum colour foliage is formed in a mound which becomes covered in bright magenta tassled flowers during Spring and again in Autumn.

With a compact form to about 1m high and 1.5m wide, and a delightfully graceful habit, it naturally maintains a dense shape as it grows. This habit makes it ideal for hedging as well as a feature plant in a container.

Loropetalum ‘Plum Gorgeous’ is a no fuss solution to many uses in the home garden, and is minimal maintenance once established.

Cultural Care

'Plum Gorgeous' has low water requirements and is dry tolerant once established. For best results, plant in full sun through to part shade in soils that are well draining, and feed with a general purpose slow release fertiliser at the beginning of spring.

Suggested Uses

Loropetalum 'Plum Gorgeous' is ideal for:

• Small gardens, patios and courtyards.
• Container planting, suiting small spaces.
• Creating dramatic foliage contrast in garden beds.
• Mass planting for a year round colour display.
• Informal hedging.
• Specimen planting.
• Oriental style gardens.
