PLANT PROFILE

This fast growing variety displays vibrant magenta flowers for much of the year. The flowers are tubular and capped by a colourful calyx which remains some time after flowering extending its interest even longer.

The mid-green foliage appears dense and lush and is further complimented by maroon stems.

This was a chance discovery by a Victorian Salvia enthusiast (read more on our 'Breeders' page).

Performs well in large containers.

Bright addtion to mixed garden beds and cottage style gardens.

CULTURAL CARE

It grows well in most soil types, but will thrive in fertile, well drained locations.

For optimum results trim off one third of size in early spring to maintain shape and encourage a dense, bushy habit.

Will benefit from an application of slow release fertiliser in early spring.
