PLANT PROFILE
A. 'Green Mist' is a dwarf form of the Bower or River Wattle from south east N.S.W. - Vic. and is a particularly ornamental species offering attractive weeping foliage for year round interest.

Fast growing with no pruning requirements, this easy to maintain shrub is valuable in establishing a structural base to any garden design. At the same time it offers a focal point as a specimen planting.

During spring, on established plants, a light display of soft lemon coloured flowers may also be produced although it will be short lived and not as dramatic as the foliage itself.

The large genus of Acacia has members scattered world over but are most abundant in Australia. Mostly evergreen trees or shrubs, Acacias (more commonly known as 'Wattles') are generally fast growing and have found favour as a popular landscaping plant amongst Australian gardeners.
The weeping habit forms an eye catching point of interest in shrubby or low borders and can be particularly effective spilling over retaining walls or rockeries. Group planting can add textural interest in the larger garden where they can also be used to create an informal hedge for lining paths or drives - even paved areas.

For smaller sized or inner city gardens, A. 'Green Mist' can be grown in a large size container or tub and would also look great in Japanese style designs. Incorporate them into ferneries providing the soil is well drained. Needless to say they are also a rewarding addition for native gardens where they can add bulk and a lush ambience.

CULTURAL CARE
Select a full sun to part shade location in most soil types given that it is well drained. Tub plants should be given applications of slow release fertiliser according to the manufacturers instructions. With contained plants always use a quality potting mix for optimum results. A low maintenance shrub which is easy to grow with no pruning requirements.
