PLANT PROFILE
Lovers of lavenders will delight in the delicious selection of colours available in the RUFFLES collection ranging from a more traditional lilac colour through pinks to the unusual duo tones of ’Boysenberry Ruffles’ as well as the creamy tones of ‘Peachberry Ruffles’.

Their aesthetic appeal does not end there as the chunky bracts atop the flower heads are distinctively rippled along their margins to give the ruffled appearance for which they have been named.

Compact and neat in habit they are ideal for small garden spaces or container culture in entertainment areas. As with most lavenders - they are dry tolerant once established and require only minimal maintenance.

All varieties in the RUFFLES collection have been bred in Australia, to suit varied conditions and environments around the globe. They are more compact in habit with flowers sitting just above the foliage and are more tolerant of the humid conditions in our northern regions than many other types of lavender currently available on the market.

The Lavender 'RUFFLES' series is now popular in many countries around the world including America, continental Europe, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan and the UK just to name a few. This new series is a must for all home gardeners and landscapers alike.

Varieties in the Ruffles collection are as follows:

1. L. 'Boysenberry Ruffles' - musky pink with centres of swirling white tones

2. L. ‘Sugarberry Ruffles’ - mauve/pink shade

3. L. ‘Blueberry Ruffles’ - deep mauve/Purple

4. L. ‘Mulberry Ruffles’ - deep pink

5. L. ‘Peachberry Ruffles’ - creamy white bracts fading to peach tips.

6. L. 'Sweetberry Ruffles' - very light, soft pink

7. L. 'Strawberry Ruffles' - mid-pink

These lavendars are well suited to water wise gardens.

They are ideal for small gardens or spaces.

Effective in containers

Ornamental and low informal hedging.

Aromatic or sensory gardens.

Great around entrance ways, paths or entertainment areas where the aroma can be appreciated as well as the flower colours. Perfect for the cottage style garden.

CULTURAL CARE
A light prune after main flowering flush followed by another during late summer will encourage a bushy habit.

A nutritional boost of slow release fertiliser during spring would be beneficial to overall performance.
