Botanica Nurseries Pty Limited is a well established nursery in NSW with over 24 acres under production. We pride ourselves on the reputation we have within the horticultural and landscape industry for quality plants and prompt friendly service.
Managing a busy production nursery doesn't leave us with a lot of time to research new and exciting plant varieties to offer our customers. Finding the time needed to look for new plant varieties, do the market research and work with breeders all over the country is a constant challenge.
Working with PMA for the last four years has helped take a lot of these challenges away because these are the issues that PMA are focused on day to day. They work hard to source quality new products and are leaders in horticultural marketing. Westland Nurseries is a large production/retail nursery supplying Tasmania's retail stores. We specialise in 14-30 cm shrubs and trees, advanced tree's to 200 litres and also indoor plant production.

PMA deals with the most respected growers and propagation nurseries across the country. We travel regularly to meet growers in order to discuss the progress of our varieties, maintain quality control and deliver reliable services. We believe in a 'face to face' approach and find this allows us to select the most professional growers who are most suited to growing our plants based on their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. We strive to support all our growers by providing detailed information to make the process as easy and trouble free as possible. PMA is always available to help out when difficulties arise and values open and honest communication with its growers.
Staff at PMA travel extensively both domestically and internationally to visit breeders and agents in order to source new plant varieties. This allows us to offer a competitive edge to our growers and we can assist in building the portfolio of your plants by introducing you to the latest plant selections from around the world.
Generally when establishing a network of growers for a variety we appoint a limited number of growers in each state, chosen to ensure all avenues to market are covered. Our experience shows that this works well and avoids the market becoming saturated with a particular variety. It also provides a clear market for the grower with little direct competition for the variety.

PMA works closely with the most experienced and professional propagators and tissue culture laboratories across the country. We aim to provide an efficient service for all growers to receive their stock quickly and easily. We are also proud to announce a reliable supply of division stock through our partnership with Florabella Australia.
PMA have long recognised the demand for quality divisions and have been building a strategic approach over recent years to be able to supply the marketplace. This derived from the need to supply top quality well established plants at a good size, and available for direct express transport. Florabella's divisions are washed, chilled during the summer months, and then packed vertically in boxes. Large numbers can then easily be shipped to reduce freight costs.
Division stock provides further benefits such as maintaining the supply of varieties that are currently in short supply via traditional propagation means. Divisions provide growers with an established plant both in terms of both top and root growth.
Florabella's motherstock is grown in a soilless media under strict hygiene conditions and divisions are prepared for potting directly into 140mm pots or into tubes. PMA looks forward to supplying growers with high quality division stock well into the future.
